Are you 16-25 years old and eager to share your view on actions for peace? Then Pax Christ Korea’s YPC is the challenge for you. Read more to discover how you too can join the call for peace.
Never has our world needed peace more. On 21 September, the International Day of Peace, we devote ourselves to strengthening the ideals of peace. Counting down to this day, Pax Christi Korea invites all young changemakers to join the call for peace with their Global Youth Peace Challenge. This year, it is all about the theme ‘Actions for Peace: our Ambition for the #GlobalGoals’.
What is the Global Youth Peace Challenge?
The YPC is a global citizenship education program for youth to learn about the role and responsibilities of the future generation to solve the global challenges and issues related to peace, climate and UN Sustainable Development Goals.
It consists of 2 rounds:
- a written essay or photo essay (English or Korean), by 31 July 2023
- a group discussion with the selected participants
You can participate on your own or in a two-person team. More detailed information will follow after your registration. There will also be webinars at the beginning of July to introduce the theme and guidelines for the essay and group discussion.
The award ceremony for the winners will take place on 21 September 2023.
